Global sourcing
Our international connections give us unrivalled access to the latest worldwide trends in fabric design and manufacture. We hand select our relationships with factories and textile mills to ensure quick turnaround for both small and large quantity orders. Our dedicated QC people perform inspections throughout the production process to make sure the highest standards are met.
Supply chain
Charles Parsons has an experienced, cost focused and strong critical path management team. It is this team’s responsibility to ensure that all aspects of the supply process are ‘best practice’. Our freight forwarding team have the experience and capability to move product anywhere in the world efficiently.
Our Laboratory Services
Charles Parsons Laboratory has played a large part in our success, with all Charles Parsons products passing rigorous internal and international performance standards before being made available to the market.
The Charles Parsons Laboratory offers extensive testing capability with accreditation approval from LRQA for AS/NZS ISO9001:2000. The type of textile testing carried out in the laboratory includes:
- Fibre analysis (qualitative and quantitative)
- Yarn testing (tensile and twist)
- Fabric strength and extension
- Pilling resistance (including pilling/frosting ASTM D3886 (Mod) CP method, Martindale, and ICI Pill Box)
- Crease recovery
- Seam slippage
- Colourfastness testing (including light – MBFT, washing, water, perspiration, sea water, chlorinated water, rubbing, dry cleaning)
- Colour measurement (spectrophotometer)
By continually updating laboratory equipment and processes, we are able to test to the most exacting industry standards. All the facilities that are used for internal testing are now available to customers outside the Charles Parsons Group.
Many leading companies have taken advantage of our facilities and expertise, which are also Target Australia accredited.
